Alpine Pond
[Two photos stitched together displaying a small pond among the trees with a fisherman off to the left. Pond has fallen trees in it.]

Snow still remains on Alpine Pond trail at the beginning of July.
[Snow completely covering part of the trail.]

The trees grow very tall.
[This is a well-tree'd area along the path. One evergreen is literally twice as tall as the other trees around it.]

Hoodoos (rock formations)
[Closeup of stalagmite type of rock formations.]

More hoodoos
[Expansive view of hoodoo formations.]

Colorful amphitheater rock
[Layers of rock getting progressively lighter from bottom to top of photo. Rock is topped by a pine forest.]

A 2,000 foot drop to the bottom is a massive change in elevation.
[View looking across the ampitheater in which both the top and bottom are visible across the huge expanse. There are only a scattering of trees at several of the lower levels. The upper levels are shades of white, tan, red, and brown. There is a row of trees long the top ridge.]

View along Alpine Pond trail
[Panoramic view (4 horizontally stitched photos) of amphitheater.]

Another view along Alpine Pond trail
[Panoramic view (5 vertically stitched photos) of amphitheater.]

Zoomed in shot of mountains in distance.
[Two photos stitched together showing trees mountains in the distant haze.]
