Traveling across British Columbia province.
March 4, 2008

Clouds reflected in Fraser River.
[The sky is nearly 100 percent covered in clouds, but there is color variation in them and this is reflected in the water. The image is nearly all sky and water with only a thin line of the far shore visible.]

Lowered rail gates and flashing lights are a very common occurrence when riding a train.
[Lowered rail gate with lit lights on the gate and on the pole with the rail crossing sign. The road the gate is blocking appears to be a paved one through farmland and does not have middle or side striping. ]

Coast Mountains dwarf the buildings in the foreground and rise high into the clouds.
[The foreground is brown dried grassy vegetation with some trees. Behind the buildings is a row of evergreens and behind those are the mountains. The top of the mountain on the right is visible due to clear skies over it. The ones in the middle and the left are partially obscured by a blanet of clouds, but snow is visible on the lower levels of the mountains.]

Preparing for farming season.
[The foreground is rows of sticks in freshly turned ground. A large red barn with a silver roof is in the background.]

Port Mann Bridge in Vancouver (which has since been deconstructed after a replacement was built) crossing the Fraser River.
[The bridge is a yellow arch with the arch extending through the bridge deck to the water as part of the support. There are multiple empty train tracks in the foreground beside the river over which the bridge passes.]

VIA (Canada) and Amtrak (US) train stations
March 4, 2008

Vancouver, British Columbia VIA station clock
[An brass cubical frame has a clock circled in brass on each of its four sides with roman numerals on each clock. This structure hangs from the two story ceiling. The upper store has windows.]

Nice part of Seattle, Washington Amtrak station
[Ornate round window structures above the hallway which appears to have white marble columns.]

This appears to have been the ceiling of the Seattle Amtrak station before the dropped ceiling was added.
[Wires hang down from a ceiling with a circular swirl with leaves and roses and other shapes which appear to be from the early 20th century. There was an open section of ceiling tile through which this photo was taken.]

On Amtrak en route in Seattle, Washington
March 4, 2008

Dock in the Seattle area
[This dock is full of sailboats with their sails down. There appears to be a quay between the dock and the open water.]

Hillside in the greater Seattle area
[There is a train engine several tracks over and on the other side of the fence is a hillside with many multi-story white or tan buildings with trees interspersed.]

Seattle Space Needle
[A two story building with black windows and orange banding is in front of the tall structure of the Needle with the circular restaurant and other stuff at the top. The sky is blue with a few low-hanging white puffy clouds.]
