Plenty of morning fog across the sand at low tide
[The wide expanse of sand leads to hillsides shrouded in mist. The sand is not flat ground but little rolling slopes.]

The receding ocean leaves a skim of water in the sand which reflects the clouds and absorbs footprints when one walks on it.
[Puffy white clouds in a blue sky are reflected on the water lying just above the surface of the sand. A strip of land coming from the right is also reflected in the water.]

The wind whips the water into foam.
[View of the sand with many clumps of foam, some big but most are small.]

Close view of the foam
[Approximately 40 bubbles stuck together lying a single bubble deep on the sand.]

An ocean plant the tide washed to the beach.
[A multi-stemmed stalk with leaves at the tops of the stalk (similar to a celery stalk?) with what appear to be suction cups at the bottom of the stalk where it was probably attached to the ocean floor before coming loose and landing on the beach.]

Low tide depressions in the sand from a dried stream leading to the ocean
[A series of squiggly depressions approximately two feet wide lead to the ocean on the horizon.]

Little Creek flowing to the ocean at Agate Beach.
[A stretch of sand separates the creek from the ocean. At this place, the creek bends from perpendicular to parallel to the ocean.]

Yaquina Head lighthouse seen from Agate Beach.
[The lighthouse seems to sit back from the edge of the rock which is being hit by powerful, frothy waves. This view was taken from a nearby beach.]

Alsea Bay bridge
[Viewing the bridge from just beside it on the northern edge. A sandbar runs under it and extends into the bay.]

This land is west (ocean side) of the bridge and appears to takes the brunt of the changing tide.
[A low-tide view of the expanse of sand and the wood/logs pushed against the short hill side.]

A brown pelican eating in Alsea Bay.
[A brown pelican standing in wet sand with a mouth full of shell creatures.]

Brown pelican not sharing with the gull.
[Brown pelican has its brown wings outstretched and the gull is ducking a bit to get out of the way.]

Brown pelican swallowing its meal.
[Brown pelican has swallowed the shells. The bill is empty and several bumps are visible in its long neck. The gull is staring at pelican.]
