Big Tree Park - Orlando, Florida
November 19, 2008

Lady Liberty, a bald cypress, is 10 feet in diameter, 89 feet high, and estimated to be 2,000 years old.
[Two photos stitched together vertically showing mainly the bottom part of the tree. A boardwalk with benches are in front of the tree.]

The Senator, the largest cypress in the United States, was originally 165 feet tall before a 1925 hurricane reduced it to 118 feet. It is 17.5 feet in diameter, and estimated to be 3,500 years old.
[Two photos stitched together vertically showing nearly the entire tree. Branches from the trunk don't happen until very high in the sky, so the main trunk is huge. A boardwalk with benches are in front of the tree and look much smaller than the ones in front of Lady Liberty because this tree is so much larger.]

[Two cranes walking across the road.]

[Close view of a crane bending down toward the ground. Its wings appear to have spots or mottled sections rather than being just a single shade of grey.]

[Close view of the head and torso of a crane. The head is red on the top half and white on the bottom half. The back of the head and the rest of the body are shades of grey. It has a long pointy bill with a hole in the top bill.]

Home for my time there.
