Lori Wilson Park - Cocoa Beach, Florida
January 30, 2011

I walked a boardwalk trail through a hammock in the park as well as along the boardwalk at the end of the beach.

Near the start of the trail, I notice these 4 youngsters walk side by side to the water.
[Four young raccons drinking at a small pond.]

The siblings see me.
[All four raccoons still side by side at the water now looking at me.]

The vegetation in the hammock is lush.
[Four photos stitched together showing palms and so much other greenery one can not see the ground.]

One portion of the boardwalk through the hammock
[Boardwalk with railings on both sides weaving through the lush greenery.]

Another portion of the boardwalk through the hammock
[Boardwalk with railings on both sides weaving through the lush greenery. Overhead are several tree limbs which completely cross the boardwalk.]

I thought this an interesting juxaposition of trees.
[Three photos stitched together displaying a boardwalk with railings on both sides weaving through the lush greenery. Overhead is a multi-limbed tree going across the boardwalk which visually mixes with the limbs of a tree on that side.]

Looking at the beach. The lifeguard shack is on left.
[In foreground are grassy dunes. Beyond it is the sand and then the Atlantic Ocean. Lifeguard shack with 360 degree red-painted railing.]

Looking the opposite direction to see the boardwalk trail and a picnic shelter.
[Three photos stitched together. Lush vegetation from right to left with an elevated covered picnic shelter on the far left.]

Boardwalk over the dunes protects them as one accesses the beach.
[Boardwalk on the left with steps leading to the sand in middle left. Rest of image is the grassy dunes, the beach and the ocean.]

These bird prints in the sand were at the beach near a hotel and not at the park.
[Webbed footprints from birds at the beach.]
