Blue flax and an unknown yellow bloom along Alpine Pond trail
[Plant with four purple blooms and a plant with one yellow bloom.]

Aspen bluebells
[Plant with a multitude of small blue bells hanging down in clumps from the tops of the plant stems. ]

Parry's primrose
[Plant with a multitude of deep pink five-petaled flowers at the top of each plant stalk. The leaves are long and thick and rise from the base of the plant.]

Cushion phlox
[White six-petal flowers which bloom low to the ground. They are growing in patches with lots of dirt between the patches.]

Colorado columbine
[White flowers which are only partially opened making apparent that each petal has what appears to be a long tail extending down the stem. The buds are big enough they hang downward so the tails or spikes are going upward. These are growing on plants several feet in the air.]

Marsh marigold
[White flowers with thick yellow centers grow singly atop long stems. The leaves of this plant are at the ground.]

Scarlet paintbrush
[A plant which has red-orange ends to the tips of its leaves making it appear to be a flower since the leaves grow in a bunch which slowly open at the top. The rest of the plant is green.]

View of amphitheater from Campground trail
[Layers of color in the rock descending into the natural amphitheater.]
