This page includes lions, tigers, jaguars, leopards, and other cats.
South African Lions
This male lion, doing what cats do best, has a different color mane than the male in the prior image.
It wouldn't be the Jacksonville Zoo without a few jaguars. Here's one of them. (Jacksonville pro football team is 'Jacksonville Jaguars'.)
Twenty-two-month-old Sumatran tiger, Kinleigh Rose, who was born at this zoo, shows us her striped tail.
Berani was Kinleigh's dad.
Cinta (on the left) is a adult female Malayan tiger while Kinleigh Rose (on the right) is a 22-month-old female Sumatran tiger. Sumatran tigers are the smallest species, so Kinleigh will probably always be smaller than Cinta.
Penari is a Malayan tiger.
Jaya, Penari's brother, submerged most of his body in the pool to keep cool.

Not all of the cats at the zoo are in enclosures. This one was wandering loose in the garden area near the giraffe exhibit.
Continue to primates. (page 4 of 13)
