[This rose bush has pink and orange and white blooms. The image looks dowan at the open blooms. Some are still partially cupped closed but the rest are fully open and nearly flat.]

A top-down view on the left and a side view on the right of the same closed lily buds (July 23, 2022)
[Two photos spliced together. On the left the very pink closed blooms look like little buds. On the right is the side view so the entire length is visible and one can see the buds are relatively long. This plant has long relatively thin green leaves.]

The same buds a nearly a week later are copmlete open and some are spent. (July 29, 2022)
[The buds which were grouped together are completely spread in a circle across the top of the plant and two flowers are fully open, three are full spent with no petals left, and one is mostly spent. The blooms are cup-like and deep with six petals curling away from the cup. There appear to be two new buds growing up from the center of all these blooms.]

Sensitive briar (August 16, 2015 on left and June 21, 2020 on right)
[This flower reminds me of a fourth of July sparkler. Image is two photos spliced together. On the left is a group of blooms. From the stem are dozens of long thin pink spikes emanating in a spherical shape. Each 'spike' has a yellow tip. On the right is a close view of a single bloom which seems to be a bit of a ovalized sphere. There are a few pink spikes which do not have a small sphere on the tip. The spheres on this bloom seem more white than yellow. The stem of this bloom is a brownish green.]

Sensitive briar (May 17, 2021)
[This flower has more constrast between the pink spikes with the tiny white balls at the top of each spike as well as contrast against the dark green grass.]

Creeping indigo (May 5, 2019)
[Top-down view of a what appears to be a stem coming from the ground which is completely encircled with blooms. Each bloom has a wide petal across from several thinner petals. The petals are pink with a white central portion. The plant has leaves which are more circular than oval and are on separate branches from the flowering portion.]

Pink pea flower (July 16, 2016) and yellow hairypod cowpea flower(October 19, 2018) Notice the pea pods hanging from the back of the flowers.

From the back part of the section with the flower are two long thin pea pods. On the right are two yellow blooms at the top of a stem. Hanging below the blooms are three skinny peapods which have white hairs covering the entire surface of the pods.]

Some hairy peas after the flower petals are gone (September 5, 2020)

[Two photos spliced together. On the left the bright pink flower with five wide petals and yellow and pink stamen curled in the center faces the camera. Its long slim smooth leaves spiral around the flower. On the right a different bud faces upward and the center section gives the appearance of a bouquet inside the petals.]

An interesting plant or flower -- not sure what it is (March 17, 2022)
[Two photos spliced together. On the left is a close view of what appears to be a bloom. It consists of one long kite-shaped purple-pink petal with a purple stem from which green long thin rectangular leaves hang. On the right is a zoomed out view of a long line of this plant which sort of forms a wispy hedge of sorts. The plant is rather floppy like a tall grass and is approximately three feet high.]

The photo on the right is a close view of the light pink flowers and the dark pink unopened ball buds. ]

In five days these two clerodendrum blooms went from tightly closed to fully open. (May 20 and 25, 2020)
[Two photos spliced together of the same two flower heads. On the top is a top down view of two maroon-pink balls of tightly closed buds atop two plants beside each other on a sunny morning with some shadows across parts of the plants. The balls are flanked by large dark green ovalish leaves. On the lower image the buds are all completely open and are very light pink with long stamen sticking out of each individual flower. The pink is a strong contrast agains the dark green leaves.]

This clerodendrum seems to have two different kinds of blooms. (July 8, 2022)
