At the top of hedge parsley are teeny-tiny white flowers. (May 11, 2016)
[Two images spliced together. On the left is an image of the entire plant which has several long thin stems with blooms at the top. The base of the plant is spiky greenery. On the right is a close-up of the very tiny five-petaled white flowers. There are probably at least 15 flowers in each clump and the top of the plant has about 10 clumps.]

Most of the hedge parsley blooms on this plant are closed. (May 24, 2018)
[The closed flower blooms are mostly green with a tip of white at the top. Only a few of the flower are completely open at the top of this clump, so this image is mostly teeny green bulbs.]

Wild mustard (March 13, 2016)
[At the top of a green stem are multiple four-petaled pale yellow flowers. At the center of each are stubby yellow stamen. There is an insect crawling on one petal.]

Wild mustard plants growing alongside the road. (February 5, 2022)
[A number of green plants topped with small yellow flowers grow in clusters alongside the sidewalk. The plants are approximately two feet high.]

Wild mustard (February 5, 2022)
[A close view of one fully opened yellow flower with its four petals with green veins in them. The center has yellow stubs. On opposite sides of it are two white-petaled flowers with crumpled petals. There are green buds above it as well as one yellow-crumpled-petaled flower.]

Wild mustard pods (February 5, 2022 on left and March 5, 2023 on right)
[Two photos spliced together. On the left is a close view of a horizontal branch with four yellowish-green seed pods growing upward. All have at least two globular bulges in the green pods. On the right are nine pods with very large globular bulges and long skinny pointy tips growing from vertical branches.]

Tansy mustard (March 13, 2016)
[Emanating from one thick stem are multiple branches in a circular fashion. A thin green pod of sorts appears on the lower branches. The topmost section of the plant is a grouping of tiny yellow flowers.]

Bottlebrush peppergrass (March 13, 2016)
[Two photos spliced together. The left photo is the entire upper portion of several plants. The branches coming from the main stalk are long and have a cylindrical shape like brushes used for cleaning bottles. The leaves are tiny flat ovals. Many small white flowers sit at the top of the branches. The image on the right is a close view of the top of one branch. There is one paddle-shaped leaf at the end of each stem coming from the branch. There are are upwards of a dozen white flowers at the top of the branch.]

A close view of white clover blooms (March 8, 2017 on left and March 18, 2018 on the right)
[Two images spliced together. The image on the left has three leaves of the clover plant are seen below the pinkish-white bloom. The bloom has many petals emanating from the stem in a spherical shape. Some of the oblong petals are folded in half lengthwise. The image on the right is a top-down view of an all-white bloom with all of the outer petals expanded flat while the inner petals are still individually curled upon themselves.]

Little hop clover (February 27, 2019)
[The lobes of the clover are huge in comparison to the tiny yellow bloom projecting above them. The bloom is more like a clump of crumpled yellow paper than petals on a bloom. Eached leafed section on the stem below the bloom has three leaves.]

Dandelion (December 3, 2015) and the seed head of a dandelion (March 13, 2016).
[Two images spliced together. Image on left is the yellow flower with a multitude of layered thin petals radiating from the center. Many yellow stamen stick out from the petals. On the right is a seed head which has many white spikes coming from the center in a spherical shape. At the end of each white tip is a multitude of small white spikes emanating from it like a small sphere on the end of the spike which itself makes a sphere from the center of the seedhead.]

Two different dandelions in different stages of petal unfolding (March 3, 2023)
[Two photos spliced together. They are both a close view of a yellow daisy-like flower with probably at least 40 thin yellow petals. In the center of each are what appear to be curled petals that have not yet opened in a ball-like clump. The image on the left has more petals unfurled than the flower on the flower on the right.]

The front and back of another member of the dandelion family (May 9, 2021)
[Two images spliced together. On the left is the front side of the yellow flower with a multitude of layered thin petals radiating from the center. The stamen are yellow with red sections and are plentiful. On the right is the back side of the flower with thin green sections as a base for the yellow petals.]

Carolina false dandelion is distinquished from dandelion by the black segments in its center and the fact it has multiple blooms on the end of one stalk. The seed head is also slightly different from a dandelion seed head. (May 9, 2016)
[Two images spliced together. On the left is the yellow flower with a multitude of layered thin petals radiating from the center. There are black cores to these petals. The stamen are yellow and plentiful. On the right is one seed head fully opened. It is a puffball of white. Several seed blooms, coming from other stems off the main branch, are still closed and enclosed in green with just a bit of white puff visible at the top.]

This may be the seed head to a cat's ear plant. (May 28, 2020)
[This spherical seed head is similar to a multitude of very white broom heads with maroon handles all projecting from a center point.]

Seedhead for hairy cat's ear on the left with half of the wisps gone. On the right is the partially closed flower (due to the morning cool weather) and a seedheed with all the wisps gone below it (April 21, 2021)
[Two photos spliced together. On the left is a seedhead with half the head missing the wisps. The wisps are like paintbrushes in there is a brown stem coming from the plant with wispy white ends. On the right are two blooms. One bloom in focus is the yellow flower closest to the camera. This flower has two concentric circles of yellow petals. The outer circle of petal is partially opened. The inner circle has the petals straight up to camera. The center of the flower has stamen squished together. At a distance near the ground is a bloom with all the petals and seedhead wisps completely gone. It is a white center with approximately two dozen green rays emanating from it.]

This may be another variant of cat's ear. (June 28, 2022)
[Emanating from a brown center are thin brown stems with lots of white wispy ends. There is a circle of these emantions, but spaces between them so it is not a full circle. There are clumps of them with large gaps where one can see the ground below.]

This star pattern is the underside remains of a flower. The 'rays' of the star are visible on the yellow flower beside it. (July 9, 2020)
[One yellow dandelion-like flower faces the left displaying the undersides of the yellow petals and the tan supports coming from the green stem. The flower in the foreground has lost all its yellow petals and displays only the 20 tan supports which radiate from the center lump atop the stem. The center lump appears to have holes in it from where the stamen probably attached to it.]

Sowthistle (February 27, 2019 on left and March 28, 2020 on right)
[Two images spliced together. The image on the left has a yellow flower in the center surrounded by large leaves with pointy projections at all their edges. The flower is a tight blooms thick with what appears to be many many long thin petals. The image on the right has multiple buds off the main stem. All but one are completely closed and are shaped like a vase in that the base is a green bulb which extends up to the thinner top which is the completely light beige closed bud (like a closed umbrella). The one open bloom is only about three-quarters open and thus is still somewhat cup-shaped. The leaves on this plant are thicker and not as wide as the ones on the left photo, but they have the same pointy edges. ]

Fiddler's spurge has a distinctive flower. (September 5, 2020)
[Two photos spliced together. The left photo is a close view of the top center of the plant. The green leaves surround the center section which is a group of green and purple-green tiny bulbs. Some have little sprout sections growing out of the top like a little chimney. The image on the right is a zoomed out view showing all the large leaves at the top of the plant just under the bulbs.]

This appears to be a different variety of spurge. (May 7, 2023)
[Five different small plants with red rimmed green leaves. In the center of each is a

A closer view of the bloom of one of the prior plants (May 11, 2023)

An interesting plant with a closed and fully open bloom (April 15, 2022)
[Two photos spliced together. The left photo is a close view of the closed bloom which is a series of diamond-shaped yellow-green petals like nesting dolls. It is atop green leaves. On the right is a fully-open bloom which extends well above the leaves and the petals are now flattened (parallel to the ground). The inside of each petal has a green center rimmed by the same yellow-green of the outer side of the petal. The very top small petals appear to have a purple cast.]

Narrowleaf plantain is one of the many common names for this plant. (April 22, 2017)
[Two photos spliced together. The left photo shows nine stems of the plant. At the top of each stem is a brown section topped by a green cone. At the junction of the brown and green are short white-tipped stalks which radiate in a circle around the cone. The image on the right is a close view of one bloom. The center of the bloom is a green cone from which spines tipped with small white blooms emanate in a circle around the base of the cone. Below the green cone is a brown section which sits atop the stem.]

This may be English plantain. (April 17, 2021)
[The very top of the plant with thin white spikes tipped with white globs coming from the lower brown part of the center cone. The top part is green with thin white spikes starting to emanate from it. Unlike the prior photo, these white tipped spikes stick out in all directions rathter than in a concentrated area around the bottom of the spike.]

Don't know the name of this plant, but it was quite large. (March 5, 2022)
[Two photos spliced together. The left photo is a zoomed out view of the plant which has large long narrow dark green leaves emanating from each branch. Along the center of the branch from where the leaves originate are groupings of flower-like white globes. On the right is a close view of the globe-shaped flowers. They have string-like white petals with brown centers. ]

Prostrate globe amaranth (September 7, 2022)
[This plant is vine-link growing in the grass. It has green leaves and what appear to be white flowers except the white part is cone-like with layers of petals.]

My guess is this is some type of wild grass seed. (September 4, 2022)
[Growing from the upward blades of grass are thin green offshoots topped with rust-colored 'fingers'. The rust-colored part appears to be lots of seeds.]

May be bermudagrass. (September 4, 2022)
[A vertical thicker green stem has was appear to be small brown seeds stuck to parts of it on the sides. From some of this brown parts are thin white filaments topped with light brown ends. They give the appears of flower stamen.]
