[Two flowers--one tighly closed looking like a long folded umbrella and the other one opened completely with the completely overlapping petals showing pink fanning out to white. A thick, short yellow stamen is at the center and green, unopened buds surround the two blooms.]

[Star-shaped blue flowers with dark blue veins radiating from the center. A very small, white flower-like structure forms the stamen.]

Notice the blue and black damselfly on the petal.
[A pink lily pad bloom rising from the water on a single stem. A small, black-banded blue dragonfly is on the tip of one petal.]

I thought this was an unusual color for lily pad blooms.
[Magenta blooms unfolding like the petals of an artichoke opening. The flowers sit right atop the lily pads with no stems visible.]

[The outer petals of these blooms are a peachy orange while the center and the backsides are whitish yellow with yellow stamem. These blooms sit amidst long very dark green leaves.]

Very interesting blooms
[Arising from long, waxy-surfaced, dark green leaves is an orange stem with pink and purple striped feathery petals which must be the blossoms themselves since they do not form a conventional 'flower'.]

[Yellow daisies with what appear to be yellow balls in the center. The petals have fallen from some buds leaving just the ball on the stem.]

Cactus closeup of its fruit
[Many very long tines coming from this green stems. Also attached to the stems are yellow, berry-like fruit.]

Larger view of the above cactus
[This plant is approximately 7-10 feet acroos and probably at least 5 foot tall and is heavy with its blooms/fruit. The many long thin tines are clearly visible.]

This pepper plant was in the children's garden.
[An orange-colored banana-like pepper growing on a plant with only the end curved up.]

Tennessee purple coneflowers
[A sea of light-colored petals surrounding dark centers atop thin, green stems and leaves in front of a fence.]

A splash of white
[Very white, thick-petals blooms each surrounding a small dot of yellow atop very dark thin, green stems.]

Two different types of sunflowers
[A small sunflower with sunflower petals against a blue sky.]

[A small sunflower with pointed petals against blurred background vegetation.]
